- Adapted to the strumous constitution.
- Women, especially widows.
- Children and girls who though generally careful, become awkward and let things fall while handling them.
- Irritable temperament.
- Inflammation and effusions in serous membranes.
- Redness and swelling with stinging pains.
- Shiny redness of skin.
- Whole body extremely sensitive to touch.
- Pains: burning, stinging, sore; suddenly migrating from one part to another.
- Very sensitive to pain.
- Complaints following eruptive diseases.
- Scanty urine may be accompanied by great thirst or none at all.
- Edemas are accompanied with the characteristic pains or no pain at all.
- In many abdominal complaints and others, a sensation as from something tight which would break if much effort were used.
- Thirstlessness in anasarca and ascites.
- Right sided complaints or right to left.
- Dropsy without thirst.
- Ailments from jealousy, fright, rage, vexation, bad news, mental shock etc.
- Bad effects of acute exanthema, imperfectly developed or suppressed; like measles, scarlatina and urticaria.
- Agg: after sleep; late in afternoon; warm weather; warm drinks; hot bath; pressure (except headache). Recumbent posture agg. many sufferings which are amel. by sitting. Many complaints are agg. by lying down. Worse getting wet through but better from washing or moistening the part with cold water. Closed, especially warm and heated rooms are intolerable.
- Amel: in open air; cold water or cold bathing; uncovering; motion; pains by coughing, walking or changing position; when sitting erect.
- Craves milk which relieves; craves sour things, cold things.
- Awkward, let things fall while handling them.
- Irritable; nervous; fidgety; hard to please.
- Weeping disposition; cannot help crying; discouraged, despondent.
- Sudden, shrill, piercing screams from children.
- Absent minded; sopor interrupted by piercing shrieks; very busy; restless; manias from sexual cause in women; indifferent, jealous women; apathetic.
- Childish; excitable; foolishly suspicious.
- Tired headache.
- Right sided headache.
- Hydrocephalus of children; meningitis infantum.
- Brain inflammation after suppressed eruptions.
- Rolls the head.
- Hair painful.
- Apoplexies in old persons.
- Head : agg: occiput; motion; stooping; warm room; reading, amel: temporarily by pressure; exercise out of doors; looking up; bending head backward.
- Vertigo agg. by closing eyes and lying.
- Face waxy pallor.
- Face puffy or red agg. around the eyes.
- Edema: bag like, puffy swelling under the eyes.
- Hives of face, especially in fall.
- Desire to wash face with cold water.
- Vesicles on tongue.
- Tongue: swelled; raw, as if burnt; sore; sandy; glazed; amel. cold things.
- Grinds teeth.
- Enlarged tonsils; erysipelatous throat.
- Glands enlarged, indurated; scirrhus or open cancer.
- Right tonsil affected.
- Panting breathing; feels as if every breath would be his last.
- Difficult breathing; agg:inspiration; lying down; bending forward or backward; lying on left side; amel: sitting up, in fresh air.
- Asthma: after hives; suppressed hives.
- Asthma agg. in cold weather.
- Walls of abdomen tense.
- Abdomen tight; as if it would break.
- Peritonitis with exudation, often with metritis.
- Ascites and anasarca.
- Inflammation of spleen.
- Abdomen pain amel. by sitting up.
- Dry mouth without thirst.
- Insatiable thirst.
- Sour or hot foods agg.
- Chronic constipation.
- Chronic diarrhea at menopause; dysentery.
- Hemorrhage from bowels.
- Constipation: sensation in abdomen as if something tight would break if much effort were used.
- Diarrhea: of drunkards; in eruptive diseases, especially if eruption be suppressed; involuntary from every motion; as though the anus were wide open.
- Urinary difficulties with prostate affections.
- Dropsy of scrotum.
- Hydrocele.
- Amenorrhea of puberty.
- Abortion during early months.
- Profuse or scanty menses.
- Ovaries congested with suppressed menses.
- Right ovary: tumor; enlargement.
- Pain in ovary amel. by lying on right side.
- Incontinence of urine, with great irritation of the parts; can scarcely retain the urine a moment, and when passed, scalds severely.
- Frequent; painful; scanty and bloody urine.
- Nephritis.
- Suppression of urine.
- Sometimes profuse urine flow.
- Acute inflammation of kidney, especially during or subsequent to eruptive diseases.
- Edemas of hands and feet.
- Hands and feet numb; palms hot.
- Legs and feet: waxy, pale and edematous.
- On removing boots at night; feet swollen, heavy and stiff.
- Burning in toes with redness; feet cold.
- Sensation in toes and feet: as if too large, swollen and stiff.
- Acute synovitis of knee.
- Numbness of lower limbs.
- Lower limbs pain agg. by motion.
- Rheumatism and gout; gouty nodes.
- Skin rosy red.
- Sting like spots on skin.
- Skin either hot or cold in eruptive diseases.
- Skin: pale, waxy; almost transparent; sometimes black also.
- Eczema of legs.
- Eruptions sting and burn like bee sting; itching, red inflamed; raised patches; urticaria.
- Itching: agg. night; warmth of bed; in cold or changing weather; amel. in open air.
- Pale, large urticaria.
- Vesicles between fingers; inclined to ulcerate.
- Intermittent fever: chill 3 P.M with thirst always; agg. warm room and from external heat.
- Burning heat; but chilly in moved; without thirst; at 4 P.M.
- Great prostration; restlessness; irritable.
- Convulsions.
