About me
Shankar Prasad Roy
I completed my B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from N.I.T., Rourkela in 1975 and after having spent a quality time being in different posts in teaching and research, I retired from the post of Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology in November 2011.
I have been studying Homeopathy for the last 40 years and trying to find ways to make homeopathic prescribing simple and effective. My area of interest is Repertory - a book which contains lists of symptoms and the related remedies, arranged systematically. While studying various repertories, I found that Boger-Boenninghausen’s Repertory was an important repertory but it was not used widely due to its difficult arrangement of symptoms.
I prepared an index to this repertory which was published by B. Jain Publishers, New Delhi, in 1990. This index proved helpful to homeopaths in locating a rubric in the repertory. Later, this index was built into the repertory making the book easier to refer.
Further, to mechanize the repertorization process, I have designed and published SPIRO, the details of which are given in ‘
Invention’ page. I have developed a Repertorization Chart which can be used to find a homeopathic remedy for an acute case, especially for viral fever. This is provided in Fig.26 in ‘
Articles’ page.I have provided detailed instructions in
Do It Yourself page, so that one can make his own homeopathic punched cards.
